Why this

If
you're reading this, most likely it's due to receiving a DVD
copy of the 10 Indictments message as per the home page of
this site. If that is the case, then perhaps an introduction
is in order.
If you did receive the DVD in the mail, then we may have a
few things in common. In my case, I have been warming
a pew in two continents for over 42 years now. All
these 42 years under the banner of Pentecostalism, even so
still today, member of a PAOC church.
As a child, being a grand kid to dual pastors, on my Dad's
side Pentecostal, Mother's Baptist, there was no excuse to
not be in church if church was on. I kid around that I
never needed saving, why, with so much going to church, it
could be credited onto me as entry into heaven. Of course,
no amount of church going can make a person a Christian till
he repents.
These many years of church going, the journey from legalism
into Marvellous Grace had nonetheless left many questions.
The questions always relate to differences in biblical
example and modern church experience. Questions that
when pondered out loud, not even pastors would offer to
answer.
I've always wondered how most pastors today would deal with
the rich man. I mean, here's this guy, he's a seeker,
what must I do to get eternal life? Who of you reading
this would handle it the way that Jesus dealt with it?
Who of us is wise to Discern his motive, the reason for his
enquiry? Would saying a sinners prayer get him there?
Oh, yeah, about that prayer -- why is there no example of
such a thing in the Bible yet it's the universally accepted
entry point into Jesus. Did the thief on the cross
mutter a prayer, how then did he get saved? Pastor,
when was the last time you preached on repentance?
Many of the issues that we must deal with in Christianity in
these last days, are due to subtle changes that over time
lead to serious deviation from the true path. A slight
adjustment of a mere tenth of a degree can cause a mighty
jet or cruise ship to miss its destination all-together.
The farther we get from our starting point, the more careful
we have to be to assure we're still on track. We must
carefully check our course and adjust as necessary.
Wishing to end well is no substitute to course correction.
I happened upon the Paul Washer message by chance, I simply
could not believe that here, finally, someone had the
courage and platform to call for change. This message
finally verbalized what I had long known to be true.
I'm passionate for what I know to be true, but I'm certainly
no preacher. Even without the angel's help, Balaam's
donkey possessed more eloquence than I could ever muster. I
can perhaps verbalize two sentences that would make sense,
the third would be a stretch. It would be a waste of
time for me to try to communicate the message that is so
powerfully brought home by Paul. What I can do though,
is share this message with you, my church family across
Canada. The brothers with whom I have shared this
message have also confirmed what the Lord had impressed in
my heart, that it's a message worth sharing.
So then, my brother, my Sister, see what the scripture
exhorts us to do. Hear the heart of the spirit
as spoken through Paul. Analyze your ministry and
methods, Consider your ways. To put it plainly, the
ball is in your court. To put it bluntly, the
responsibility lies solely at the feet of the preacher.
Will you listen? Have you heard? How long will you not
"Rightly Divide The Word Of Truth" How long will you
choose to declare men saved and doom them to hell?
In Christ, Andrew.
